LaBamba is our biggest mare, in height and definitely in girth. For some reason, those Sockeye offspring get mighty big. She is just a hair under 16hh and has been known to get up to 1400lbs (that was just before she was put on a diet, lol). She had a beautiful filly in 2007 that pretty much has it all! Kurige is a big girl too and a love, just like her mom. LaBamba is confirmed back in for for a May 2009 foal.

LaBamba loves attention, is the alpha mare in the field and will try to keep the other horses from getting any of the attention, or the food. She is respectful though and is nice to work around. She most enjoys trail rides and is solid going down the road, not spooky. LaBamba has the smoothest trot to ride, one you could easily sit all day. Current offered for sale in foal until February 2009, in which case, she would be kept off the sales list until after she foals. $9000
